RENOVATIONS
MASTER BATHROOM
Most common advice was "don't put a soaker in" because you won't use it. I didn't want to do a traditional soaker, so we opted out for a whirlpool/jacuzzi tub. I searched throughout many stores but also wanted to keep my budget. And guess what? I found it! Our perfect whirlpool/jacuzzi FREE standing TUB - Woodbridge!!!! I was thrilled to find out they have a Summerset, NJ warehouse, which saved us hundreds of dollars buying direct.

J&K CABINETRY
My older daughter couldn't really picture any other cabinet color than white. We left a newly renovated, somewhat modern, pure white kitchen in NY. It was gorgeous. Our Colonial kitchen left us unsatisfied because of the outdated cabinetry & appliances. See below. YUCK.

final result
I picked the same brand of cabinetry, seeing how great they did with the previous ownership. Shout out to the best cabinet designer Perry from Innovation Kitchen and Bath in Staten Island, NY. He was prompt, patient and fast! Out cabinets are from J&K transitional line in Hazel. They are made with 100% solid wood. Our hardware came from Signature Hardware online store, and the pulls are called Lunata. The stone we selected is white quartz with gray veins, if I had to do it over I would've picked a grayish granite, because this quarts makes our kitchen a bit cold and too modern for a Colonial home. I guess we can call it a modern colonial. Our backless Angelina stools come from one of my favorite stores - Frontgate. They're made with performance linen that withstood a test of time: we spilled beet juice, countless beverages, some crazy foods and yet, they're still like brand new. I love the fabric!!! They were the best purchase by far and had I known about them earlier I would've recommended them 10 times and over to EVERYONE.
Picking a hood cover...the most tedious task, has to fit, match and compliment the kitchen cabinetry. Thank God for Hoodsly!
LAUNDRY ROOM
In search of an inspiration...
The most difficult space to design is the laundry room. In my mind it had to be super functional, easy on my back (no crazy bending or reaching), had to give crisp and elegant vibes, ones I've always imagined and paired with Southern Living Magazine inspirations. Here's our take on the Laundry Queen...
